, ,This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, entrepreneurial individual who is looking to level-up their career. This role is based in Austin, TX and is 40 hours a week. This individual must be open to flexible hours.
The Health and Wellness Director will be responsible for a variety of projects designed to improve health and wellness of the individual. The director will oversee personal training, nutrition, tracking progress and overall wellness of the client.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct fitness assessments to determine clients’ baseline fitness levels, goals, and any limitations or health concerns.
- Develop customized workout plans tailored to clients’ individual needs, goals, and preferences.
- Monitor clients’ progress, adjust workout plans as needed, and provide ongoing feedback and encouragement.
- Keep accurate records of client progress, including measurements, weight, and fitness achievements.
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, including analysis of dietary habits, medical history, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop individualized nutrition plans tailored to clients’ specific goals, dietary preferences, and any medical conditions or dietary restrictions.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, helping them implement and maintain healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes.
- Educate clients about the nutritional content of foods, portion control, and the importance of balanced nutrition in achieving optimal health.
- Monitor clients’ progress and make adjustments to nutrition plans as needed, based on changes in their goals or circumstances.
- Stay informed about the latest research, guidelines, and trends in nutrition and dietetics to provide evidence-based recommendations to clients.
Qualifications:
· Certification from a recognized personal training organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM).
· CPR and AED certification.
· Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, exercise science, and nutrition.
· Experience working with clients of all fitness levels and abilities.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
· Passion for health, fitness, and helping others lead healthier lifestyles.
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
· Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential or Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) certification preferred but not required.
· Knowledge of nutrition science, including macronutrients, micronutrients, dietary guidelines, and nutrition-related health conditions.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate and motivate clients.
· Experience conducting nutritional assessments and developing personalized nutrition plans.
· Strong organizational and tracking skills.
